Snag A Stay Policy and Procedures Agreement for Landlords and Tenants

Responsibilities of Owners:

Owners are responsible for providing safe housing, which includes ensuring that all appliances are in working order. This covers plumbing, heating, and electricity, which should be in excellent working condition.

Landlords are responsible for all maintenance issues and emergencies, unless they have contracted a third-party contractor through Snag A Stay. They are obligated to address repairs promptly and fairly.

Failure of the landlord/owner to maintain property conditions may result in the termination of the contract between Snag A Stay and the property owner. In such cases, the landlord will be required to provide a full refund to residents on short-term stays if the property is not in suitable condition. This includes cleaning and upkeep of the home, appliances, and major components such as heating, water, electricity, and AC.

Owners must establish all house rules, responsibilities, and expectations for guests.

Fees and Deposits:

Landlords have the discretion to charge various fees, including cleaning fees, extra deposits, and animal deposits/fees if they choose to accept pets. Snag A Stay serves as a coordinator between both parties to ensure clarity and agreement.

For long-term stays, landlords may impose additional requirements, such as background checks and income verifications.

Subleasing:

Landlords are permitted to sublease furnished units to authorized guests through Snag A Stay. Landlords understand that Snag A Stay is a platform connecting tenants and landlords, and is not responsible for tenants’ choices or actions.

Cancellation Policy:

Landlords must provide a 24-hour notice to Snag A Stay for any reservation cancellations. Failure to do so may result in a nonrefundable fee of $75 and a requirement to refund the party who booked. In the case of a maintenance emergency, landlords should cancel immediately and communicate with the lead guest.

Expectations and Disputes:

Snag A Stay mediates between landlords and tenants, aiming for a smooth process. However, Snag A Stay does not guarantee the actions of individuals and is not responsible for their choices.

Booking Fee:

All bookings include a 7% booking fee.

Privacy Policy:

Snag A Stay’s Privacy Policy governs data collection and usage. By using the website, you consent to the data practices described in the policy.
